Temperatures to approach +30°C in Latvia midweek, cooler weekend ahead
Forecasters say Wednesday and Thursday will be the warmest days of the week, with temperatures nearing +30°C in places, before turning cooler from Friday.

Latvia is set to see shifting weather conditions this week. The working days will be partly cloudy, with cloud cover increasing at times. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible in some areas, while patches of fog may form during the night. Winds are expected to remain light, though a slight increase is forecast from midweek, with westerly and south-westerly breezes.
The warmest weather is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, when temperatures in some locations could approach +30°C. Cooler air will persist along parts of the coast. Overnight temperatures early in the week will be lower, with Tuesday night bringing +8..+14°C, while the night before Thursday is forecast to remain at +16..+20°C.
Starting Friday, conditions will turn fresher. Current forecasts suggest that over the weekend daytime temperatures across Latvia will not exceed +18..+23°C, and isolated showers are expected in places. Forecasters also warn that ultraviolet radiation during midday remains moderate to high, advising people not to spend prolonged time in direct sunlight between 11:00 and 16:00.
