Sony Introduces IER-M500 In-Ear Monitors for Professional Use
Sony has launched the IER-M500 in-ear monitors, priced at $120, designed for stage use by musicians and sound technicians.

Sony has added a new model to its lineup of professional audio equipment with the introduction of the IER-M500 in-ear monitors. These earphones are specifically engineered for on-stage use, targeting musicians and sound professionals who require reliable monitoring during performances. The company emphasizes the comfort of the IER-M500 for extended wear, offering four different noise-isolating eartip options to achieve a secure and personalized fit. Additionally, Sony incorporates its ear fit supporters to keep the earphones firmly in place even during active movements. For effective noise isolation in loud stage environments, the IER-M500 features a completely sealed structure combined with a large acoustic chamber. This launch marks Sony's first high-end in-ear monitor release in some time, complementing its professional lineup that already includes the MDR-M1 studio headphones introduced in 2024. Pre-orders for the IER-M500 begin today, with a suggested retail price of $120. Customers can choose from clear, black, or red and blue color options.
