Sony is preparing to host two back-to-back State of Play broadcasts on Thursday, September 3, showcasing a range of upcoming video game titles. The shows are scheduled to begin at 9AM ET.
Viewers will be able to watch the broadcasts on both YouTube and Twitch, with an English-subtitled version also available on YouTube.
Two consecutive broadcasts
The first State of Play will be a broader showcase, featuring games from PlayStation Studios as well as titles from Sony's partner studios around the world. Square Enix will be among the third-party publishers featured, with the event promising an extended look at the world of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the final installment in the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy.
Immediately following the first broadcast, Sony will air State of Play Japan, dedicated to games from developers across Asia. Sony has not yet detailed exactly what will be shown during this segment, though further coverage of the concluding Final Fantasy 7 remake title is possible.
Other expected mentions
The broadcasts are also expected to include reminders about the upcoming release of Marvel's Wolverine, due out within days, as well as information about purchasing or pre-ordering PlayStation's newly announced monitor and wireless speakers.
