The raid lasted only about four minutes. To gain entry, the perpetrators smashed through a window and then broke through bulletproof glass that had been protecting the artifacts.
Suspected Diversion
Investigators believe the operation involved several people and multiple vehicles working together. Police suspect that, shortly before the break-in, the thieves deliberately triggered an alarm at a sports centre located nearby, likely to draw attention away from the museum and create an opening for the theft.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are working to recover the stolen historical artifacts.
