Spain Held by Cape Verde, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia Draw in World Cup Group H

The first round of Group H matches at the World Cup ended in draws. Spain and Cape Verde played a goalless stalemate, while Uruguay and Saudi Arabia finished 1-1. This tournament marks the first time 48 teams are competing, divided into 12 groups.

Upcoming matches include Belgium vs Iran in Group G at 10 PM local time in Inglewood, Cape Verde vs Uruguay at 1 AM in Miami Gardens (Group H), and New Zealand vs Egypt at 4 AM in Vancouver (Group G).

The group stage will conclude on June 27, with the knockout stage starting the following day. Semifinals are scheduled for July 14 and 15, the bronze medal match on July 18, and the final on July 19. The last World Cup in 2022 in Qatar was won by Argentina, who defeated France on penalties.
