Parts of Estonia experienced intense rainfall overnight, with Pärnu County recording 95 mm of precipitation by 8 a.m. The downpour placed heavy strain on Pärnu's sewer network, which ended up operating at full capacity.

Around 8:30 a.m., the Pärnu city government reported that the large volume of rain accumulated over recent hours had significantly affected the sewer system. Officials said both stormwater drainage and regular sewer services were disrupted, and that water had built up on numerous roads, making them difficult to pass.

The city administration urged drivers to exercise caution and steer clear of flooded road sections. Together with utility service providers, the city is working to bring the situation under control. Officials acknowledged that conditions remain difficult at this time.

No timeline has yet been given for when services will return to normal.
