A versatile gaming headset at a bargain price
Online retailer Woot is offering a steep discount on the EPOS H3 Hybrid gaming headset, dropping the price to $24.99 – a whopping 75% off the original $99.99.
The headset combines wired and wireless connectivity, featuring USB-A and 3.5mm jacks for connecting to a PC or console, as well as Bluetooth for music and calls. A standout feature is the ability to play audio from both wired and wireless sources at the same time. Battery life is rated at up to 37 hours.
Improvements over the wired-only predecessor
According to a Verge journalist who tested the wired-only version about five years ago, that model impressed with a balanced sound profile, comfortable fit, and a generous volume knob. However, it had issues with USB connectivity and lacked sidetone. The Hybrid version appears to have addressed both concerns.
Additionally, the H3 Hybrid includes two microphones: a detachable boom mic and a built-in microphone, so you can take Bluetooth calls without needing the boom arm.
