Sporting rally past Galatasaray in Champions League opener

Portuguese side Sporting came from behind to beat Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray 3-1 in their opening Champions League fixture.

Sporting kicked off their Champions League campaign with a comeback win, overturning an early deficit to defeat Turkish Super Lig outfit Galatasaray.

The Portuguese club found themselves behind during the match but fought back to secure the points in their tournament opener.

The game ended 3-1 in favour of Sporting.

The result gives Sporting a strong start to their Champions League group stage campaign, while Galatasaray suffered a defeat in their first match of the competition.
