Woman Disguised as Man Suspected in Monaco Bombing That Injured Ukrainian Businessman's Partner
A woman of Ukrainian origin, around 30, is suspected of planting a bomb in Monaco on June 29, seriously injuring three people, including the partner of sanctioned Ukrainian businessman Vadim Yermolaev. She allegedly disguised herself as a man.

French media outlets Le Figaro and BFMTV report that the suspect in the June 29 explosion in Monaco is a woman in her 30s of Ukrainian origin, who is believed to have disguised herself as a man, according to an internal police memo. The suspect resides in Germany.
The blast occurred around 9 p.m. outside the residence of Ukrainian businessman Vadim Yermolaev, injuring three people: Yermolaev, his partner Anna Nasobina, and a 13-year-old boy. Nasobina suffered critical injuries and had both legs amputated; her condition remains critical.
Investigators identified the suspect within 48 hours and located her in a European country. Surveillance footage shows she had scouted the area multiple times that day. She noticed a Ukrainian family nearby and followed them, eventually placing a bag containing explosives at the entrance of the building, three steps from the door. As Nasobina passed the bag, the suspect detonated the bomb remotely using a device resembling a remote control.
Two main theories are being explored: organized crime or foreign interference. Earlier reports suggested possible involvement of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), but this has not been confirmed. The Monaco Prosecutor's Office is investigating the case as an attempted murder.
Vadim Yermolaev is a businessman from Dnipro, founder of the trading and manufacturing corporation Alef, and one of the city's largest developers. He regularly appeared on Forbes' list of the 100 richest Ukrainians. In 2019, he renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in favor of a Cypriot passport. Yermolaev was a subject of the "Battalion Monaco" investigation into Ukrainian businessmen, politicians, and oligarchs who settled on the French Riviera during the full-scale war.
