Nine proposals submitted for Riga's Station Square redevelopment competition

A design competition for the redevelopment of the former slot machine hall pavilion and the surrounding Station Square area in Riga has drawn nine proposals, according to the competition's organizer, real estate developer Linstow.

The competition sought design concepts for one of central Riga's public spaces — Station Square and the pavilion building that once housed a slot machine hall. Such competitions typically invite ideas covering both the functional repurposing of a building or site and the improvement of the surrounding public environment.
