Man stabbed in brotherly dispute in Staiceles parish; victim was wanted by police

On Sunday, a drunken quarrel between two brothers in Staiceles parish ended with one stabbing the other. The victim was taken to hospital and found to be wanted by police.

On the evening of Sunday, July 19, in Staiceles parish, Limbaži county, two brothers were drinking alcohol together when an argument broke out. During the altercation, one of the men stabbed the other with a knife, causing bodily harm.

The injured man was immediately taken to a medical facility, where tests showed he had a blood alcohol concentration of 2.82 promille. A subsequent identity check revealed that the victim was a wanted person.

Police representative informed that a criminal investigation has been launched. No further details regarding the cause of the conflict or the reasons for the search have been disclosed.
