A photo showing an unusual scene at a barbecue has spread widely on social media. In the image, a stork can be seen calmly approaching a grill where shashlik was being prepared. The picture was published on the platform by a user named ivans_mucenieks and quickly caught the attention of internet users.

The post was accompanied by a witty caption: "Who knows no shame will never starve." This phrase prompted many commenters to share their guesses about the bird's motives. Some joked that the stork may have arrived to check the menu or was hoping for a treat. One commenter quipped: "Are they cooking frog legs? Storks love those." Others speculated that the bird simply smelled the shashlik and decided to join the company.

Although storks in Latvia are often found near people, ornithologists remind that wild birds should not be fed human food. Shashlik and other grilled dishes are not suitable for storks. In the wild, these birds mainly feed on frogs, insects, small rodents, fish, and other small animals.

The stork has already become one of the summer's most amusing "grill guests," bringing smiles and sparking discussions on social media.
