International Space Station Aging, Nearing Closure

Astronomy enthusiasts say ISS operations are gradually being phased out due to aging.

On the Latvian Radio program "Zināmais nezināmajā", astronomy enthusiasts and IT specialists Raitis Misa and Ints Ķešāns discussed the state of the International Space Station (ISS). They emphasized that the ISS is one of the strongest symbols of humanity's ability to explore the universe, but its operations are gradually coming to an end. The main reason is the station's aging. Currently, there are more repairs than scientific research. The experts conclude that the ISS may be closed in the near future.
