International Experts to Lead Online Workshops on Preventing Fraud in Infrastructure Projects
From August to October, a series of online workshops called “The Integrity Express” will be held, where international experts will help infrastructure professionals identify and prevent fraud and corruption risks.

The platform “Būves nākotnei” has announced an online workshop series “The Integrity Express” dedicated to preventing fraud and corruption risks in infrastructure projects, running from August to October 2026. The sessions will be led by international experts, offering an interactive learning experience different from traditional webinars.
Board member Zanda Zariņa noted that delays, cost overruns, and violations are common in the construction industry. International experience shows that many risks can be detected earlier and resolved more professionally if stakeholders have the right tools and ability to recognize warning signs.
The cycle consists of three sessions. The first, “Think Like a Thief” on August 20, focuses on understanding offenders’ thinking and project vulnerabilities. The second, “Follow the Money, Find the Red Flags” on September 24, examines cash flow and cost signals. The final session, “Resolve, Repair, Reinforce” on October 22, addresses actions after problem identification and strengthening internal processes.
The workshops are suitable for representatives of public and private clients, municipalities, project teams, construction companies, engineers, lawyers, procurement specialists, auditors, and other professionals involved in infrastructure project planning, procurement, implementation, supervision, or risk management.
“Būves nākotnei” is an association founded by the law firm “Jurisconsultus” to promote quality development of the construction industry through training, seminars, and research on efficient construction process management and standard contracts.
