32 Patients Moved at Stradins Hospital After Rain-Induced Water Leak

A water leak caused by heavy rainfall damaged infrastructure in Building 32 of Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital overnight on July 5-6, leading to the relocation of 32 patients.

During the night of July 5-6, following heavy rain, a water leak was detected in Building 32 of Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, causing damage to the hospital’s infrastructure. As a result, 32 patients were moved, the hospital reported.

The leak occurred in one of the buildings within the hospital complex. The exact extent of the infrastructure damage and its impact on hospital operations have not been disclosed. Patient relocation was carried out to ensure their safety and continuity of care.

Hospital management stated that necessary repair works are underway to address the leak’s consequences. No injuries or major service disruptions in other buildings have been reported.
