Štrombahs edges up in ATP rankings, Ozoliņš slips

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has released its updated world singles rankings, showing small shifts in the positions of Latvia's tennis players.
Latvia's leading men's player, Roberts Štrombahs, improved his standing, rising from 428th to 422nd place. Meanwhile, the country's second-ranked player, Kārlis Ozoliņš, saw his position fall from 684th to 687th.
Last week featured Davis Cup matches, meaning there were no changes at the top of the rankings, where the world's leading players remain. Italy's Jannik Sinner continues to top the standings, followed by Germany's Alexander Zverev, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz, American Ben Shelton and Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Doubles rankings
In the doubles rankings, Latvia's best-placed player sits at 230th. His career-best doubles ranking is 229th, meaning his current position is close to his highest achievement.
