“Sudden Lights” concert turns into a heartfelt proposal moment
At the “Sudden Lights” summer-closing concert in Riga club “Zeit,” a touching letter led to one audience member proposing to his partner on stage. The show had originally been planned for August 22 but was moved to August 30 due to a storm.

Over the weekend, the band “Sudden Lights” held its summer-closing concert at the club “Zeit,” drawing a large crowd. The event had originally been scheduled for August 22, but a storm forced organizers to postpone it to August 30.
According to LA.LV, the evening had a festive mood, with a bright moon, the musicians' energy and the audience's enthusiasm creating a special atmosphere.
A letter and an unusual request
During the concert, the band's frontman, Andrejs Reinis, read out a letter to the audience. Its author described being in a long relationship with his partner, with whom he is raising a young daughter, recalling both joyful and difficult moments together and calling their little girl the most beautiful gift life had given them. The letter's author, a man named Matīss, had asked the band for a chance to come on stage to say something important to his loved one.
A proposal in front of the crowd
The band invited Matīss on stage, where, visibly nervous, he proposed to his partner in front of hundreds of spectators. Both she and the couple's young daughter answered yes. The moment was captured by someone in the audience, and a video of the event has since circulated on social media.
