The Riga Circus arena will see the premiere of choreographer Ieva Gaurilčikaitė-Sants’ new piece “Sugmija” in July. The performance investigates the human species in two stages: the moment of its origin and a transitional phase toward a future human. This future human is technologically transformed, altered, and influenced, representing a new human species. The choreographer explores how technology impacts human essence and what evolution might look like ahead. “Sugmija” promises a visually and conceptually rich experience, blending dance with philosophical reflection on human identity in the age of technology.
