Dog named Jazzy waits for a Halloween skeleton to throw her ball, then takes matters into her own paws

A video of a dog named Jazzy trying to start a game of fetch with a plastic human skeleton has gained wide attention on the social network Instagram. The clip was filmed ahead of Halloween by the dog's owners.

A prank before Halloween

The owners decided to play a joke and seated a plastic skeleton on a coffee table. They placed a bright pink ball in its hand and adjusted its pose so it looked as if it were about to throw.

Jazzy, described as smart and obedient, immediately took a position directly opposite the skeleton and began waiting eagerly for the throw.

Patience, then initiative

The owners captioned the video “the longest game of fetch ever”. The footage shows the dog keeping calm for a long time: she changes her sitting positions, moves from place to place and watches her bony playmate closely.

When the ball was still not thrown and the skeleton did not come to life, Jazzy cast a puzzled look at her owner, as if asking what was wrong with it. She received no help from the owner.

The four-legged pet then decided to act on her own: she walked up to the skeleton, carefully took the ball out of its hand and proudly ran off.
