Suntažs and Glazer achieve podium finishes abroad
Javelin thrower Krišjānis Suntažs placed second in Slovenia, while runner Roberts Glazer won the 1500m and placed second in the 800m in Sweden.

Latvian athletes have achieved notable results in international competitions abroad. Javelin thrower Krišjānis Suntažs recorded his season's best throw of 78.64 meters at the meet in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. This earned him second place, just 31 centimeters behind winner Jan Viška of the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, at the end of June in Gothenburg, Sweden, Roberts Glazer of club "Ašais" and coached by Austa Ābiliņa, had a successful outing. He won the 1500 meters with a time of 3:47.64. The following day, he finished second in the 800 meters, clocking 1:53.75. Both athletes have demonstrated strong form as they prepare for the major competitions of the season.
