"Super Nova" and "Daugavpils" fail to find winner in rainy clash
In round 27 of the Latvian Virsliga, SK "Super Nova" and BFC "Daugavpils" both missed scoring chances as their match ended goalless amid heavy rain.

SK "Super Nova" and BFC "Daugavpils" played out a scoreless draw at Janis Skredelis Stadium in a rain-affected round 27 fixture of the "Tonybet" Virsliga.
The visitors from Daugavpils started the match more actively, controlling possession in the opening ten minutes, creating several dangerous attacks and testing the goalkeeper twice. In one instance, Daugavpils even put the ball in the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
As the game progressed, "Super Nova" managed to curb their opponents' momentum, though Daugavpils remained the more threatening side in the first half. In the 33rd minute, home goalkeeper Davis Veisbuks failed to hold onto the ball, but the Daugavpils player who reached it first fired well over the crossbar, missing a clear chance.
In the second half, as the rain intensified, both teams continued to trade dangerous attacks. In the 51st minute, a home defender made an error controlling a pass from his goalkeeper, allowing the visitors to counter-attack, though the resulting shot from a good position went wide of the near post. Later, Daugavpils again came close, striking the ball just past the post.
Both teams received cautions during the match. With this result, SK "Super Nova" and BFC "Daugavpils" remain in the middle of the standings, while FC RFS and Riga FC continue to lead the table.
