Suzuki launches updated plug-in hybrid Across in Europe
Suzuki has begun offering the renewed Across plug-in hybrid in select European markets, a close relative of the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid. Orders are already open in Germany, with prices starting at 55,490 euros.

Japanese automaker Suzuki has started offering an updated version of its Across model in several European markets. The Across is a plug-in hybrid closely related to the Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid.
Design and interior
The new Across features a bolder front end, larger wheels and more rugged wheel arches. Inside, it gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch central touchscreen, along with a new head-up display. Standard equipment includes wireless smartphone charging, five USB-C ports and an extensive suite of safety systems. The car keeps its five-seat layout, with a 446-litre boot.
Technical specifications
The hybrid system is built around a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors providing all-wheel drive, backed by a 22.7 kWh battery. Compared with the previous version, both electric-only range and total range are said to have increased. The Across accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. The all-wheel-drive system offers NORMAL, ECO, SPORT and TRAIL modes, while adaptive cruise control, a range of driver-assistance features and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat round out the package.
Price and availability
While technically refreshed, the new Across does not differ substantially from its Toyota relative — the main change for buyers is a richer equipment list combined with improved hybrid technology. In Germany, prices start at 55,490 euros, and the model is already open for order there. The first customer deliveries are expected in autumn 2026.
