Switzerland to face Argentina without injured rising star Manzambi
Switzerland's national football team will be without 20-year-old forward Johan Manzambi in the World Cup quarterfinal against Argentina after he suffered a knee injury in the final training session before the round of 16 match against Colombia.

Switzerland head coach Murat Yakin confirmed during a press conference that the team will have to do without Johan Manzambi in the World Cup quarterfinal against Argentina. The young player sustained a knee injury during the last training session before the round of 16 clash with Colombia, which Switzerland won on penalties to advance.
Manzambi, who plays for German Bundesliga club Freiburg as an attacking midfielder, has been impressive in the tournament, scoring three goals and providing two assists in four matches. His performances have attracted interest from English Premier League side Newcastle United, with a transfer worth around £50 million expected to be finalized after the World Cup.
The quarterfinal between Argentina and Switzerland will take place in Kansas City on Saturday night/Sunday morning at 4:00 AM Latvian time. Switzerland will need to find a way to compensate for Manzambi's absence to keep their hopes of reaching the semifinals alive.
