Latvia's State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre forecasts partly cloudy skies for Sunday with occasional sunshine. Rain is expected widely overnight and intermittently in some areas during the day, with isolated thunderstorms bringing heavy downpours in places. Winds will blow from the west or northwest at light to moderate strength, though gusts along the Gulf of Riga coast and in Latgale could reach 15-16 metres per second during the day. Nighttime temperatures will range from +10 to +15 degrees, warming to +15-18 degrees during the day.

Warmer weather expected early next week

On Monday, skies will be variably cloudy, with brief overnight rain and isolated thunder possible in some areas, though the day itself should stay dry. Winds will remain light to moderate from the west or northwest, with coastal gusts overnight reaching up to 15 m/s. Overnight temperatures will drop to +8-11 degrees, slightly warmer along the coast at +12-16 degrees, while daytime highs will climb to +17-21 degrees.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with rain expected in western and central regions during the afternoon. Winds will shift to a southerly direction, remaining light to moderate, with temperatures similar to previous days.

Cyclone to influence weather later in the week

Forecasters note that a new cyclone will begin approaching Latvia later in the week, bringing more frequent cloud cover and precipitation to nearly all regions of the country. Despite this, temperatures will remain relatively warm, reaching +16-21 degrees in places. Winds will stay light to moderate, becoming gustier mainly in coastal areas.
