Rain and possible thunderstorms forecast for Latvia on Sunday
Latvia's environmental agency LVĢMC forecasts rain and locally heavy downpours with possible thunderstorms across the country on Sunday, with daytime temperatures reaching up to +18 degrees.

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC) has issued its weather forecast for Sunday, predicting unsettled conditions with rainfall in many parts of the country.
Overnight conditions
Starting overnight into Sunday, clouds will bring rain to most of Latvia. In some areas, precipitation will be more intense, with heavy downpours possible and thunderstorms not ruled out. Winds will blow slow to moderate from the west or northwest. Overnight temperatures will drop to between +10 and +15 degrees.
In Riga, similar conditions are expected overnight, with occasional rain and winds from the west and northwest. Skies may clear at times. Air temperature in the capital overnight will range from +12 to +14 degrees.
Daytime outlook
During the day on Sunday, weather will remain changeable — mostly cloudy but with periods of clearing. Rain is expected intermittently and unevenly across the country. As at night, locally heavy downpours and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out during the day either.
Winds will stay slow to moderate, blowing from the west and northwest. However, along the Gulf of Riga coast and in Latgale, gusts may strengthen during the day, reaching 15 to 16 metres per second. Daytime air temperature will be higher than overnight, ranging from +15 to +18 degrees.
