Sunday to bring mixed weather in Latvia, with rain in places and highs up to 23 degrees
Latvia's Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre forecasts a partly cloudy Sunday with scattered rain and moderate warmth of up to 23 degrees. A night thunderstorm is possible in some areas.
Latvia can expect changeable weather on Sunday, with a mix of cloud cover, brief rain showers and spells of clearer skies, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A cloudy, cooler night
Overnight into Sunday, most of the country will see cloudy skies. Rain is expected in many areas, with a chance of thunderstorms in some places. Winds will blow lightly to moderately from the south. Night-time air temperatures will drop to between +13 and +17 degrees Celsius.
In the capital, Riga, the night will also be cloudy with occasional rain. Winds there will be light from the south, while temperatures will fall to +14 to +16 degrees.
Partial clearing expected during the day
During the day, cloud cover will persist and brief rain is still possible in some areas, though skies will clear in other parts of the country. Winds will continue blowing lightly to moderately from the south.
Daytime air temperatures will climb to between +18 and +23 degrees, making Sunday a moderately warm day overall, despite the changeable conditions expected throughout.
