Sunday to stay windy and rainy, but gusts to ease below 23 m/s
After a destructive storm, Sunday will still bring wind and rain to Latvia, though coastal gusts will be weaker than before, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) forecasts that Sunday, the last day of the week, will continue to bring unstable weather across the country, with both precipitation and wind expected.
However, conditions will be milder than in previous days, when a powerful storm swept through Latvia. Meteorologists say that in coastal areas, wind gusts will this time not exceed 20 to 23 metres per second — lower than during the destructive storm.
Although wind intensity will decrease, residents are advised to remain cautious, as gusts could still be significant, particularly along the coast. Rain is expected to continue throughout Sunday.
