Wind gusts near Vidzeme coast could reach 30 m/s on Sunday night

The strongest winds are forecast along the Vidzeme coast, where gusts could reach as much as 30 metres per second. Such speeds correspond to storm-force winds and could hinder movement outdoors while posing a risk of damage to infrastructure and trees near the coastline.

Forecasters note that the current calm weather is only temporary, serving as a lull before the cyclone's arrival.
