Tallinn marks Ukraine's Independence Day with solemn ceremony
A flag-raising ceremony was held outside Estonia's Foreign Ministry in Tallinn to mark Ukraine's Independence Day. Estonia's foreign minister reaffirmed the country's continued support for Ukraine.
The Estonian capital Tallinn marked Ukraine's Independence Day with a solemn flag-raising ceremony held outside the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that although Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine is now in its fifth year, Ukraine has existed as a free and independent state for 35 years.
Tsahkna noted that over this time Ukraine has come a long way, and that its current direction — toward the European Union and NATO — is now irreversible. He added that comprehensive support for Ukraine remains one of Estonia's foreign policy priorities.
