The Complaints Choir project has returned to Estonia, debuting a seven-minute collaborative lament at Tallinn's Balti Jaama Turg on Friday. Led by alternative artist Florian Wahl in partnership with the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM), the performance brought together residents who turned everyday grievances into a crowdsourced choral piece.

The song's Estonian lyrics were co-written by participants and Wahl, who also composed the music, creating an opus that shifts between humor, irritation, and collective release.

Following the premiere, Saturday's performance will be featured as a music video in EKKM's outdoor summer exhibition, running from July 23 to September 27.

The Complaints Choir project was launched in 2005 by Finnish-German artist duo Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen. In 2006, the format went open source with a published 9-step method for organizing a complaints choir, and has since grown to over 140 DIY complaint choirs worldwide, from Helsinki to Singapore.

This marks the second time the Estonian capital has hosted a complaints choir, following a 2015 edition at the Tallinn Art Hall exhibition 'DOings & kNOTs.'
