On August 28, the Temnikova & Kasela gallery in Tallinn opened a new solo exhibition by Estonian artist Kaido Ole titled "Krt". The show brings together the artist's recent works, in which a recurring motif of fire is used to give shape to something hard to define — an all-encompassing sense of "badness".

The artist's perspective

Ole describes the exhibition as an attempt to "put the bad inside the paintings". According to him, through art the bad finds its place, allowing the world to regain balance, even if only for a moment.

Third show this year

"Krt" is Kaido Ole's third solo exhibition this year. Earlier, at the start of the year, he opened the exhibition "Müüa maja Raplas" ("House for sale in Rapla"), and in February he presented works from his own collection at the Vaal gallery.

The "Krt" exhibition at Temnikova & Kasela will remain open until October 10.
