The Tallinn municipal public transport company Tallinna Linnatransport (TLT) has announced the completion of tram track repair works on Tartu Highway. Starting June 22, the usual traffic pattern will be restored near the intersection with Lubja Street – the turn from Tartu Highway onto Lubja Street will reopen, and trams will again run in both directions on their tracks at the Lubja Street junction.

Kaido Padar, head of TLT, stated that all necessary works are finished and the renewed section will ensure more reliable tram service. During the works, approximately 150 meters of worn rails were replaced. The repairs were carried out according to TLT's electric transport infrastructure reconstruction plan. The cost of the project exceeded half a million euros.

With the completion of the repair, the regular tram schedule has been restored. Passengers are advised to check departure times before traveling.
