Rose Days in Full Bloom at Tallinn Botanical Garden

The Tallinn Botanical Garden is currently celebrating its Rose Days, an annual event that showcases a stunning collection of approximately 700 rose varieties. Visitors can stroll through the garden, join guided tours, and purchase seedlings to take home.

Each rose variety carries a unique story. Some are named after famous personalities, while others captivate with unusual colors or forms. Arnet Pool, the curator of the rose garden, highlighted the Estonian rose collection, including a white tea-hybrid rose named after tennis player Anett Kontaveit. Another notable specimen is a mutation of the Chinese rosehip, which features green flowers formed from modified petals.

Even those who haven't explored the entire garden have already found their favorite rose. The Rose Days offer a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the diversity of roses and learn about their cultivation.
