Temporary 3x3 basketball courts to open on Tallinn's Freedom Square in August
Tallinn will set up three public 3x3 basketball courts on Freedom Square from August 4–14, with the Estonian championships following on August 15–16.
The city of Tallinn will install three temporary 3x3 basketball courts on Freedom Square, open to the public from August 4 to August 14. The courts will be accessible around the clock and operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
To make the experience hassle-free, the city will place ball bins at the courts, stocked with basketballs for a "take, play, return" system. Visitors can simply grab a ball, play, and leave it for the next person.
Following the open period, the same courts will host the Estonian 3x3 basketball championships on August 15 and 16. This will bring together the country's top teams for a competitive showdown, drawing attention to the rapidly growing discipline.
