Flora women's football team eliminated from Champions League

Tallinn's Flora women's team lost 0-4 to Maltese champions Mġarr United in the semifinal of the first qualifying round, ending their European season.

The women's football team of Tallinn's Flora has been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League after losing 0-4 to Maltese champions Mġarr United in the semifinal of the first qualifying round. The match was played as part of a mini-tournament in Slovakia.

The first half ended goalless, but after the break the Maltese club took full control. Carly Presley scored a hat-trick, and one goal was an own goal by Flora's captain Kristina Tullus.

With this defeat, the Estonian club's European campaign ended at the first qualification stage. This is the eighth consecutive season that Flora, the current Estonian champion, has failed to advance past the opening round of the women's Champions League.

A total of 19 clubs participated in the draw for the first qualifying round of the 2026/2027 season. As a result, four mini-tournaments with four teams and one mini-tournament with three teams were formed.
