Construction of Tallinn film town expected to begin this winter

Joonas Tartu, head of Tallinnfilm, has stated that the film town project has been updated and improved. The final stages of the planning process are underway, with the final construction project expected to be ready by the end of summer. An international tender for construction will be announced in late summer or early autumn.

Tartu added that a construction contract is likely to be signed by winter, at which point active building work will commence. Significant preparatory work has already been completed, including the removal of 10,000 tons of waste from the site.

The studio complex's branding is also being developed in preparation for communication and marketing efforts. Tallinnfilm is already active on social media. The company has attended various events, such as the Cannes Film Festival, to increase visibility.

According to Tartu, the studio complex could be ready within two years.
