Tallinn's Lennart Meri Airport handled more than 389,000 passengers in August, setting a new all-time monthly record for the company. According to preliminary airport data, passenger traffic rose 16.4% compared to August last year, an increase of more than 55,000 people. Compared to July, the number of passengers grew by nearly 5,000, or 1.25%.

The previous peak was recorded in July 2026, when 384,608 passengers used the airport's services. Records were also set earlier in June and May, meaning the airport has now broken its historic record for four consecutive months.

Most popular routes

In August, the most in-demand scheduled routes were flights connecting through major European aviation hubs — Warsaw, Helsinki and Frankfurt.

Overall, in the first eight months of 2026 Tallinn Airport served more than 2.5 million passengers, an 11.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
