Talsi Church – the city's vertical axis through centuries

The Curonians living in Talsi adopted Christianity as early as 1231, and since then spiritual life has been closely intertwined with the cityscape. Today, even when religious affiliation is no longer a priority for many, the Talsi Evangelical Lutheran Church remains the vertical axis and the dominant feature of the old town.
