«Tautumeitas» release album «Līgojami» and invite to a dawn ritual
Latvian band «Tautumeitas» celebrates the solstice season with a new album «Līgojami» and a «Dawn ritual» at Sveikuļu hill near Tukums.
The Latvian music group «Tautumeitas» is marking the solstice period with two new offerings: the album «Līgojami» and a special event called «Dawn ritual» (Rītausmas rituāls), held at Sveikuļu hill in the Tukums region.
The album «Līgojami» features 20 atmospheric songs that blend authentic traditional performance with modern sensibilities. Genre-wise, it falls under world music, offering listeners a chance both to dance and to enjoy a capella singing.
The band emphasizes that rituals do not always have to be esoteric – the «Dawn ritual» is a way to experience the solstice atmosphere in nature, with music and shared participation.
