On July 31, the "Cut Art" gallery in Riga will open the solo exhibition "Longing as Culmination" by emerging Latvian sculptor Roberts Bāliņš. The exhibition explores the concept of waiting—a state in which people become absorbed in thoughts about a possible or past event. Bāliņš invites the audience to enjoy the present moment, or the journey toward the desired goal, rather than getting lost in longing. His works are abstract yet, as he explains, human-like in form.
