Teplice defeat Liberec; Melniks has difficult Scottish Premiership debut
Teplice capitalised on two red cards to beat Krollis' Liberec, while Deniss Melniks saw his full Scottish Premiership debut end in a 0-2 defeat and a disallowed goal.

In the Czech league, Teplice earned a victory over Liberec, the club represented by Krollis. Liberec were reduced to nine men after Vasil Kušej received a straight red card in the first minute and another sending-off followed in the 38th minute. Teplice made the man advantage count in the 61st minute through Lukáš Mareček. Krollis entered the match in the closing stages.
Teplice, who finished 11th last season, face Viktoria Plzeň next week.
In the Scottish Premiership, Deniss Melniks made his full debut for Falkirk, who lost 0-2 at home to St Mirren. The former Spartaks Jūrmala, Auda and Riga player, who is still under 24, struggled: he was beaten for the first goal, and in the 70th minute a handball in attack ruled out what appeared to be an equaliser for the home side.
In Sweden's second tier, leaders Norrköping beat Helsingborg 2-0. Forward Alberts Aleksanjans, 20, came on in the 75th minute. Norrköping have 35 points from 17 rounds.
