Tērvete nature park to honor first-graders on September 5
The LVM nature park in Tērvete is holding a celebration day for first-graders on September 5, offering free entry and surprises from partner attractions. The event continues the park's long-standing tradition of welcoming new schoolchildren.
The Latvia's State Forests (LVM) nature park in Tērvete is inviting first-graders and their families to a celebration day in the forest on September 5. According to information from the park's Visitor Centre, the event continues a long-running tradition in which the park, together with its partners, honors the youngest pupils each year.
Every first-grader visiting the park that day will receive a free entry pass, granting access to adventures along the forest trails as well as a free ride on the park's little "Fairy Tale" train.
Attractions and surprises
In the park's themed areas — the Gnomes' Forest, the Fairy Tale Forest, and the Attractions Ground — children will be greeted by costumed fairy-tale characters, including gnomes, the Forest Witch, and Princess Zeltīte. Cafés located within the park will also treat first-graders to sweet surprises and treats.
Partner venues will offer free admission to first-graders that day as well, including the Annele Animal Garden and the Tērvete Butterfly House. Those wanting to test their agility and strength can head to the Tērvete Tarzan and Rope Park, which will offer a 50% discount on admission for the occasion.
