Newcastle Disease Outbreak Detected in Backyard Flock in Tērvete Parish

An outbreak of Newcastle disease has been confirmed in a backyard farm with 36 chickens in Tērvete parish, Dobeles municipality.

In Tērvete parish, Dobeles municipality, an outbreak of Newcastle disease has been detected in a backyard farm housing 36 chickens. Laboratory tests conducted by the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment “BIOR” confirmed the presence of the virus. Authorities are implementing necessary measures in response to the outbreak.
