Wired has published its 2026 review of the best portable power stations, focusing on capacity and size. The standout is the Bluetti Pioneer Na, which uses a sodium-ion battery that performs better in low temperatures than traditional lithium batteries. According to the manufacturer, it can be charged at 5°F (-15°C) and still provide power down to -13°F (-25°C). The unit has a 900 watt-hour capacity, weighs 35 pounds, and delivers 1,500 watts max output. It charges from an AC outlet in one hour. Bluetti claims a 10-year or 4,000-cycle lifespan but offers only a two-year warranty. The reviewer notes it is relatively large and heavy for its capacity.

Other tested units include the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus, Bluetti Elite 200 V2, BioLite BaseCharge 1500, Ampace Andes 600 Pro, EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus, Bluetti AC200L, Dabbsson DBS1000 Pro, Bluetti AC180, and Zendure SuperBase Pro 2000. Each has pros and cons: the Jackery is expandable but heavy; the EcoFlow is compact but has a loud, always-on fan; the Ampace is portable but offers less power per dollar. Two models were not recommended: the Acer 600W (overpriced for its capacity) and the Vtoman FlashSpeed Pro 3600 (poor build quality and overly large).

The article also answers common questions: prices vary but discounts are frequent, and choosing the right capacity depends on the devices and usage duration. The FAQ emphasizes planning ahead to ensure enough power.
