The Riga City Court ruled on Thursday not to soften the security measure imposed on Iveta Balode, who has been charged with gathering intelligence information in Latvia and passing it on to Russian security services.

According to the charges, the information was allegedly transferred through the pro-Kremlin organization "Baltic Antifascists," which has been designated a criminal organization in Latvia.

The court rejected the request to change the security measure applied to Balode, meaning she will remain in custody.

Further details about the case and the specific circumstances of the charges have not been disclosed at this time.
