Reports of fireworks-like blasts near Tīnūži and Ikšķile did not check out
Police responded to two calls on the evening of August 26 about possible gunfire or fireworks near Tīnūži parish and in Ikšķile, but found no evidence of noise at either location.

On the evening of August 26, around 9:30 p.m., police received a call about unclear noises near Lake Dubkalni in Tīnūži parish. The caller could not tell whether the sounds came from firecrackers or gunfire.
Officers who arrived at the scene checked the lake area and its surroundings but were unable to detect any noise resembling either fireworks or gunshots.
A second call the same evening
Around the same time, another report came in describing what sounded like fireworks going off in Ikšķile, on Ozolkalnu Street. Police checked the specific address as well as the entire length of Ozolkalnu Street up to the Dubkalni reservoir, but again found no trace of any such sounds.
In both cases, the reported noises could not be confirmed.
