Cyclist Tjumins at World Championships: toughest race of the season

Latvian cyclist Georgs Tjumins competed on Thursday at the world championships currently underway in Canada. He finished the junior category race toward the end of the sixth group of ten riders.

After crossing the finish line, Tjumins said the race had been the most difficult of his season so far. Despite the demanding conditions, he did not give up and completed the distance, saying he had achieved the maximum he was capable of in that race.

The junior category events at the world championships bring together young cycling talents from various countries, and the championship in Canada serves as an important test for Latvia's young athletes as well.
