Ministry of Justice proposes extending fine payment deadline and introducing discount for early payment

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has prepared an informative report on the enforcement of administrative fines, proposing changes to the payment process.

The ministry suggests extending the deadline for deferring payment of administrative fines for individuals who cannot pay due to objective reasons. This measure aims to allow those facing financial difficulties more time to fulfill their obligations without resorting to forced collection.

Additionally, the MoJ plans to introduce a discount for individuals who pay their fines on time or before the due date. The exact amount of the discount and the conditions for its application have not yet been disclosed, but the initiative is expected to encourage voluntary compliance and reduce the administrative burden on the judicial system.

The proposals are currently in the development stage and will proceed to consultations and approval.
