Winners Decided at Saulkrasti Beach Volleyball Tournament

The traditional beach volleyball tournament "Saulkrastu Kokteilis" in Saulkrasti crowned its champions this year. In the men's final, Edgars Točs and Gustavs Auziņš defeated Artūrs Rinkevičs and Ardis Bedrītis with scores of 21:15, 21:17. Točs/Auziņš, who had previously won the Jūrmala "Bech Pro" event, showed consistent performance, utilizing blocks and serves to secure victory.

In the women's final, Tīna Graudiņa and Līva Ēbere faced the Latvian-Spanish duo Anastasija Samoilova and Daniela Alvarez. Graudiņa/Ēbere dominated both sets, winning 21:14 and 21:11, thus claiming a convincing tournament win.

Bronze Medalists

In the men's bronze final, Mārtiņš Pļaviņš and Kristians Fokerots proved stronger, defeating Namiķis/Stankevičs 21:11, 21:9. The women's bronze went to the Estonian pair Hollas/Remmelg, who beat the Lithuanian team Kvedaraite/Saule in two sets (21:15, 21:13).

Tournament History

"Saulkrastu Kokteilis" has been held since 1995, but women's competition was only added in 2022. This year's men's champions are Edgars Točs and Gustavs Auziņš, while the women's title was won by Tīna Graudiņa and Līva Ēbere. The tournament was broadcast live by Sportacentrs.com and TV4.
