Tomase loses singles final in Serbia, a day after winning doubles title

Latvian tennis player Tomase (WTA 865.) lost the singles final of an ITF tournament in Serbia on Sunday, but she won the doubles event on Saturday.

Latvian tennis player Tomase, ranked 865th in the WTA and seeded seventh in the tournament, lost 5-7, 1-6 to Serbian Anja Stanković (WTA 551.), the top seed, on Sunday. Reaching the final earned Tomase ten WTA ranking points.

Tomase has one ITF singles title so far, won in 2020 at the W-15 tournament in Liepāja. On Saturday, she claimed the doubles title at the same event in Serbia. The tournament is held in Kuršumlijska Banja on clay courts.
